Palaigeorgiou Georgios' s Short CV

George Palaigeorgiou is a Lecturer in the Department of Primary Education, University of Western Macedonia in the field of "ICT in education". He holds a Ph.D. in Students-Computer Interaction from the Informatics Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Macedonia and a BS in Computer Science from the Informatics Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has extensive teaching experience in 7 academic departments in the fields of HCI, Computer Science Education and Computer Ethics. Two years ago, he has cofounded an award-winning  startup, LearnWorlds (, which provides an innovative educational platform for self-paced learning. His interests include participatory web, participatory design, MOOCs, wiki-based communities of practice, computer ethics, computer attitudes, animated demonstrations. He has received several distinctions such as performance and study scholarships, best conference paper awards, teaching practices awards etc.
