Sotiris Georgiou
I have studied Applied Informatics and I have a master’s degree in Graphic Arts – Multimedia. From 2020 I’m a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia. I participated as a researcher for 2 years in programs of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
In recent years I’m teaching Computer Science in public schools in Greece. My computer skills cover a wide range of IT technologies in areas such as, graphic design, web developer, educational software development, educational robotics, computer programming, mobile applications, 3D printing, and creating and management of distance learning courses.
I have participated as an organizer and a rapporteur at many international and pan-Hellenic conferences. In 2015 I have develop a photo managing application for smartphones, called “MyHistory” who selected for presentation in Droidcon Greece 2015. In 2017, I created two original and innovative Augmented Reality applications, “SchoolAR”, for the school’s books courses of Informatics and Geography for Greek public schools. In 2018 I won the Gold award in Educations Leaders Awards.
